✨ Bright Horses, created by Maria R. Soares and Carminda Soares, is a performance for six dancers — three pairs of twin siblings — that uses intimate family dynamics to critically reflect on competition in contemporary society. Through real sibling relationships brought to the stage, the piece unfolds three choreographic dialogues that move through conflict, aggression, grief, farewell, and affection, revealing the complexity of family bonds as microcosms of broader social structures. By using intimacy as a method of resistance, Bright Horses seeks to invert and question the logic of competition that shapes much of today’s world. Winner of the 3rd edition of Projeto CASA, promoted by A Oficina/CCVF, O Espaço do Tempo, and Cineteatro Louletano, with co-production from Teatro Municipal do Porto and Cine-Teatro São Pedro de Alcanena.
